Matthew Holness is a comedian, writer and director best known for his role as fictional horror author and actor, Garth Marenghi, self-described "master of the macabre" who he co-created with Richard Ayoade. The character has appeared in two stage shows - Garth Marenghi's Fright Knight, the Perrier Comedy award-winning Garth Marenghi's Netherhead - and the cult Channel 4 comedy series Garth Marenghi's Darkplace.
Matthew has written short stories for horror anthologies, and has written and directed a number of horror films, including Possum.
