Michael Z. Lewin was born in Springfield, Massachusetts, and raised in Indianapolis. He went to Cambridge (England) and was in the Footlights.
He taught science in American high schools for three years before becoming a full time writer in 1969 and later moving to Somerset with his family. He now lives in Bath.
