Jeremy Silver is an entrepreneur, angel investor and the CEO of Digital Catapult. He is a Trustee of the British Library and a member of the UK Creative Industries Council. Previously the Executive Chairman of Semetric and strategic advisor to Shazam (both acquired by Apple respectively), he was also Worldwide Vice-President of New Media for EMI Group in Los Angeles and Head of Media at Virgin Records where he worked with artists such as Genesis, Massive Attack, and Brian Eno among others. Jeremy has spoken at TEDx, Houses of Parliament, LSE, The Economist and Midem among many trade events, and is an Industry Fellow at the University of Glasgow. His first book, Digital Medieval, is a history of the music industry online. Towards a Digital Renaissance is his second book.
